Our History

After completing two Master’s degrees, Walt Wolosiansky made his debut in the working world as an audiologist for an ear, nose and throat specialist. After a few years, he realized that in order to achieve his goal of personalized, convenient care he would have to devote time to learning everything he could about the hearing aid industry: the various devices, the unique fittings, and the need for customized service.

He worked with Audiphone, a hearing aid dispensing business, for 5 years. He gained comfort and familiarity with the numerous manufacturers and devices, and earned valuable experience in serving hundreds of patients.

Determined to serve clients in a better, more personalized way, Walt founded Community Hearing Service in 1989. He designed the business from the ground up, dedicated to spending the necessary time to counsel clients and prescribing the most appropriate and cost-effective hearing aids solution.

Community Hearing Services has been proudly serving the community for over 30 years.

We believe in helping the community that has helped us for so many years. Some of the charities we support include the Stark County Community Action Agency, Summit County Head Start, Echoing Ridge Residential Center (MRDD) and more.

With our state-of-the-art building located on Massillon Road (north of Akron-Canton airport and just south of Green Township), we have established roots that keep us close and solidify our commitment to you. I promise you: we are not going anywhere anytime soon.
